V/A PROGRESSIVE GOA TRANCE VOL 2. compiled by ALEXANDER LIGOWSKI
DP-6 Delta EP. Ghostwriter Records

The DP-6 project music has always had a special and easy recognizable sound which was very appreciated by many people in different night clubs. Now Alexy Filin and Vadim Indigo play their live sets in different cities & clubs and the DP-6 project tracks have won the recognition and support of many russian and foreign DJs and labels. Ghostwriter Records prints four of their latest tracks on the Delta EP. All tracks are hard and straight but different in sound. Fat bassdrums run monotone looptechno that goes fast forward. Every track has his own sound. Some shaking claps, crispy hihats, roaring basslines and dark synthies for the club or underground feeling. Genius tools for every DJ who likes mixing by using effect devices.

Alex Stealthy - Deploring (DP-6 Remix). Vapour Recordings

ALEX STEALTHY - "DEPLORING" (ORIGINAL) VR12048A
THE YOUNG RUSSIAN ALEX STEALTHY DEBUTS ON VAPOUR WITH THIS EXCELLENT SLAM MEETS FUNK DVOID STYLE MELODIC GEM. A WICKED BASSLINE AND RIPPLING MELODIES LEAD THE WAY IN THIS FOOT STOMPING MAIN ROOM CUT. FANTASTIC.

ALEX STEALTHY - "DEPLORING" (DP-6 REMIX) VR12048B
FAVOURITE HERE @ 3BLM TOWERS, THE DP-6 MIX IS COOLNESS PERSONIFIED, WITH ITS SMOOTH CHORDS AND SUBTLE USE OF THE INFECTIOUS MELODY. SOLID, PERFECT DANCEFLOOR MUSIC.

Yet another progressive winner from the 25 year old russian talent.
"Deploring" is an ideal introductory track to a set, beginning on all fours until a bassline emerges, weaving its way into the structure. A blurred out melody unfolds that leads the way to the break, until all becomes clear. On the flipside, fellow Russian producers DP-6 mould this into dancefloor friendly, warm-up material. Creating a melancholic night-sky groove.

DP-6: City Lights, 12" Elephanthaus Records

"The DP-6 project was founded in 2000 as the creative union of two Russian DJs: Alexy Filin and Vadim Indigo. Their dark techno sounds is reminiscent of early Jeff Mills production.
This debut single for Elephanthaus Records blends pounding techno with deep Detroit strings to create the perfekt club track. We recruited Spanish techno legend Cristian Varela to remix this project. Varela's mix blends his signature funky techno sound with the Detroit feeling of "City Lights" to create the primetime floor filler. Kazu Kimura is one of Japan's top techno DJ's and producers. Mr. Kimura's mix blends jackin' techno style with a hint of Detroit flavor."

V/A From The East To The West, 12" Genetic Records

"4 absolutely superb techno tracks from 4 exceptionally talented up & coming artists. All are totally original, peak time monsters guaranteed to be on playlists of the likes of Stanny Franssen, Marco Carola, Mauro Picotto, Chris Liebing and the rest..."

DP-6: Midsummer / Afterlife, 12" Xtra:Sound Holland

"Support & plays from Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, Anthony Pappa, Deep Dish, etc..." "Two wicked throbbers with the tastey proggy flavours we all love. 'Midsummer' is a deep dark tribal progressive sound that will lift you up and get you movin. Thick bass, atmospheric swoosh textures and darth like fx over a chugging tribal groove is whats on the menu here and we'll take seconds! 'Afterlife' is nice Tech/house track with some strong strings and tribal percussions." "Progressive edged influences with beautiful vocals are well stretched out to an atmospheric track!!!" "Solid Russian Dark Progster! Plus A Deeper Housey Tinged Prog Tune On The Flip. Plays From Digweed, Deep Dish And Tenaglia! We Like This."

ORTIN CAM / DP-6: East vs West, 12" In Cycle Belgium

"SUPPORT COMING FROM JEFF MILLS, REDHEAD, MICHEAL BURKAT, LARS KLEIN, MARK BROOM, ETC….. HER COMES A NASTY 4 TRACK EP FULL OF DIVERSE TECHNO BEATS. THE FIRST CUT IS A SILLY TRIBAL BEATER WITH NASTY PERCUSSION EDITS AND MACHINE BOOMING RHYTHMS. THE NEXT CUT IS WHERE IT’S AT THORBBING BASSLINES AND BATTERING KICKDRUM ROLLS SLIDE INTO TAMPERING SYNTH PATTERNS. VERY HYPNOTIC AND POWERFUL. ON THE FLIPSIDE 2 FUNKY TECHNO NIBBLERS WITH CREEPING BASSLINES AND JUNKY FIXED PERCUSSION LINES. GREAT TECHNO TOOL!"

V/A Progressive Goa Trance vol 2 compiled by ALEXANDER LIGOWSKI
Yellow Sunshine Explosion UK

The sound of GOA Trance is becoming more and more popular. Not only is the scene constantly growing but the sound and production is becoming more and more diverse and progressive. The 2003 release of PROGRESSIVE GOA TRANCE VOL.1 has been one of the first compilations reflecting the latest trends and Vol.1 has impressed with steady sales throughout the year and still being in re-press. We have invested more time in putting the track list together and we can ensure that Vol.2 is holding the real “pearls” of the Scene, making this Volume a bigger success than the previous Volume. Here you find the labels which set the trends: BAROQUE, ELEC-TRIBE, 3BEAT, BASIC ENERGY, MILLENNIUM RECORDS and CYBER RECORDS. Compiled by Y.S.E. Label manager Alexander Ligowski (well known for his work for NOVA TEKK), also being quoted as “having the best musical understanding of the scene” (Mushroom Magazine) ……well what else can you ask for?"
